This year there are 45 pupils in our school and 3 teachers. Some of the pupils have parents that also went to the school. The junior infants , senior infants and first class are all in Miss Jenning’s room. Second, third and fourth class are in Miss Kilcoyne’s room and fifth and sixth class are in Miss Mc Carthy’s room. We are lucky because we have P.E.. in the community centre on Monday, music and dancing during the week and sometimes we go swimming to Castlebar on Friday.
Our school is going through a lot of changes. We are currently doing up our pitch across the road from the school. We are dividing it up into a car park, a playground and a pitch. The trees will be knocked down beside the school but new ones will be planted. We used to do our P.E. in this field before they started the work. Hopefully we can play in it again when they do it up. In September 2003 we got a prefab. The 5th and 6th classes are in the prefab which is just beside the school itself. It has a lovely view of the countryside and you can see Knock Airport, the Church, and the community centre. Our playground was bigger before the prefab came but we still have enough room to play our games.
