Basket Weaving
School Activities
A basket weaver came to our school. He was John Mc Govern from Glenfarne in Leitrim.
John learned the art of weaving from his father. He taught us how to weave baskets, using reeds.
It is amazing to think that the Egyptians were weaving baskets up to 12,000 years ago.
